Shardaben Ganvit comes from the small village of Khanpur in the Vansda block of Navsari district. She has a Master’s degree in Arts and a B.Ed., and she began her career with a year of experience in the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan. In 2018, Shardaben joined Cohesion Foundation, working on Women and Child Development projects. As she gained more skills, she moved into agriculture, becoming a Mahila Kisan Sakhi. Her focus on women’s rights led her to work as a Paralegal Worker at Cohesion, is helping women understand and claim their land rights. Her knowledge in this area has led to many invitations to train others on land rights.
Now, Shardaben uses her wide range of experience to work on sustainable agriculture, Wadi development, and government entitlements programs in Valsad. Her work continues to make a big difference in her community, supporting women’s rights and encouraging sustainable farming practices.
