Mayur Ahir, a passionate agricultural trainer from the tribal belt of Navsari district’s small village Ruzvani, has dedicated his career to advancing horticulture and fruit orchard development. Navsari, renowned for its mango production, inspired Mayur to pursue a diploma in horticulture from Navsari University. With nine years of experience in horticulture, he has made significant contributions to the field, particularly in mango orchard development. Mayur began his professional journey with Indian Potash Limited as an agriculture assistant, where he managed a Kisan Suvidha Kendra, guiding farmers on best practices and soil health management. His dedication and expertise led him to Cohesion Foundation, where he started as a community mobilizer and quickly advanced to the role of Agriculture Expert.
In his current role, Mayur brings extensive experience in mango orchard development and provides valuable inputs to various projects implemented by Cohesion in the Navsari and Valsad district. His work also encompasses government entitlements, ensuring that farmers receive the support they need. Additionally, Mayur is committed to training women farmers in sustainable agriculture, soil and water conservation, and livelihood development. His contributions have significantly enhanced the agricultural practices and livelihoods of many in his community.
