Ghohabhai is a seasoned grassroot practitioner with over 30 years of experience. He completed his graduation from Lokbharti, Sanosara in Bhavnagar in 1994. His career began with Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (India) in Sayla, Surendranagar where he worked as a Community Organiser. This allowed him to engage with rural communities, focusing on their livelihoods, agriculture, and institutions, which has since been an integral part of his life. His experiences with AKRSP(I) taught him the critical role of women’s empowerment in community engagement, the significance of gender equity and inclusivity. These lessons continue to profoundly influence his work and life today. During his tenure at AKRSP(I), he completed his Post-Graduation in Rural Management and successfully served in various roles such as Program Specialist (Village Institution), Training Coordinator, and in making the Training Unit self-sustainable. Over 25 years, he achieved significant success in these roles. Subsequently, he spent three years as a Team Leader in the Capacity Building Unit at ACT (Arid Community & Technology) in Bhuj-Kutch. Since 2024, he has been working with Cohesion Foundation Trust as Project Coordinator. His key role is organizing 10000 men and women farmers to improve practices in cotton farming in villages around Nalsarovar Bird Sanctuary
